When you land the job of being a Victoria’s Secret Angel, you’re definitely doing some pretty great things as a model. Especially when you learn that Miranda Kerr was the first ever Australian angel! Kerr has also used her body to get attention, posing naked and chained to a tree for Rolling Stone Australia in order to raise awareness for endangered Koalas.
Kerr is one of the most successful models of all time, with a net worth of $18 million. She has also taken her good looks to the music world, appearing in the video “Number One” for Kanye and Pharrell.
Kerr has had some prominent relationships with males, including a marriage to Orlando Bloom. It was that split that prompted her to tell interviews “I appreciate both men and women, I want to explore. Never say never.”

Amber Rose first came to prominence in 2008 when she appeared in a music video for Ludacris. Rose also has experience working as a spokesperson, signing on with Smirnoff back in 2011.
Rose may also be known for her extensive personal relationship history that includes 2 years dating Yeezy and a marriage to Wiz Khalifa.

When talking about her relationship, Haze said it was humorous how the media constantly tried to portray them as just being friends. She definitely put that to rest, saying “An interracial gay couple, I mean that’s just weird for America right now. We f**k and friends don’t f**k. I have never f**ked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn’t happen. But we do f**k and it’s crazy and that’s weird to say because I think about it in terms of an audience reading it and them thinking, ‘What the hell?’ But it happens.”

Yaya Kosikova became the center of a bit of controversy back in 2015. Sure, you may not care about foreign TV shows, but a famous TV host and model Montserrat Oliver allegedly ended her relationship with her partner to start dating Kosikova. I mean, Kosikova is gorgeous, but that’s hardly how you want your relationship to start!
The two sat down with Vanity Fair earlier this year where they gushed about their relationship with one another, including the fact that they live together.
If you can’t tell by her name, Kosikova is Slovakian and has represented clients like Neiman Marcus, Chris Aire and Esteban Cortazar.

Cara Delevingne
You may recognize Cara Delevingne for her role in Suicide Squad of Paper Towns, but make no mistake, prior to hitting the big screen Delevingne was hitting up the runway. In 2012 and 2014 she was awarded Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards and has modeled some of the most expensive brands in the world; including Burberry, which Delevigne modeled for in 2011. It was her first big break in the industry and she was spotted for the line after being recognized at her office job.
Delevingne is openly bisexual and is currently in a relationship with the musician, St. Vincent. Delevingne has been open about her past battles with depression, but also open about her love of Vincent, saying “I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”
That happiness may be why the rumors were quickly shot down earlier in September that Delevingne was hooking up with Suicide Squad co-star, Margot Robbie.
Freja Beha Erichson
When you get the nickname the “Queen of Cool,” you definitely know you’ve accomplished some pretty cool things in your career! Erichson was noticed by a modeling agent as she was walking down the street one day and debuted as a model in 2005. She has since worked for Dior, Prada, Chanel, Versace and many other notable brands. Models.com once ranked has literally the 2nd best model in the entire world – talk about some high praise!
While her career is slowing down, it is clear that Erichson has had a memorable career. Now, considering this writer is from Vancouver, how do I not include Tasha Tilberg who is also from British Columbia? Tilberg has appeared for various magazines, and has spent time as a spokesmodel for CoverGirl.
Tilberg has happily been in a relationship with Laura Wilson, who she married a few years ago. The two have twins together (a boy and a girl), who Laura gave birth to back in 2012. Tilberg has always been open about her standards as a model, that has included no lingerie photoshoots and no assignments where she needs to play a straight person.
Tilberg may also be known for her various tattoos (she estimates she has around 30), many of which she said were done prison-style and without a professional machine.
Ruby Rose
One of the best parts of the latest season of OITNB has to be the inclusion of Ruby Rose in the cast. Outside of prison, Rose has herself an impressive modeling career including being the face of Maybelline New York in Australia.
Rose has also co-hosted Australia’s Next Top Model. Rose’s unique fashion sense has led to the Australian fashion label Milk & Honey working alongside her, creating their own line designed by Rose. Rose even has her own specialized sneaker out there for purchase.
Rose came out as a lesbian at the age of 12, but sadly suffered abuse and torment as a result. When talking about her sexuality, Rose described herself as genderfluid and that she wakes up every day in a sort of gender neutral place. When asked what sex she identified with more, she also admitted that if she could choose, she would have been a boy.
Rose is currently single, but she’s had several high profile relationships including one with fellow supermodel Catherine McNeil.
Jenny Shimizu
Jenny Shimizu made her first break working for Calvin Klein and Banana Republic, but she made history when she worked for Prada. Shimizu was the first Asian model to work for the brand, and was also the first minority model to ever open up the show.
As impressive as her modelling career may be, what may be even more impressive is that she said she was Madonna’s booty call. When talking about it, Shimizu said, “I was her secret ‘booty call’ available any time of the day or night for secret sex sessions.”
If that wasn’t enough to make you jealous, how about the fact that she also admitted to having quite a few romantic liaisons with Angelina Jolie. Shimizu had a deep bond with Jolie and in an interview, said that she fell in love with Jolie the first time she saw her. Catherine McNeil

McNeil came to prominence after winning a modeling contest that was put on by Girlfriend, Vogue Paris at the age of 14. Vogue Paris later declared she was one of the top 30 models in the 2000s. If you can think of a prominent brand, McNeil has probably modeled for them.
After McNeil’s relationship with Ruby Rose came to an end, she started to date male model Miles Langford and were engaged; but later called it off. Shortly after that, McNeil became involved with photographer Emily Hope, but they broke up in 2015 after being together for a year.
Gia Carangi
Gia Carangi is considered by many people to be the first ever supermodel. As well as appearing on various magazine covers, Carangi also worked for several prominent companies such as Armani, Versace and Christian Dior.
Carangi clearly looked gorgeous in her prime, but her career took a horrific turn when she became addicted to heroin. Carangi, unfortunately, passed way at the age of 26 from AIDS-related complications. Carangi’s orientation fluctuated from bisexuality and being a lesbian, but either way, it was clear she was an inspiration for many individuals.
Her life was turned into the movie Gia, that stars Angelina Jolie. The movie also features quite a few intimate love scenes with Linda, Carangi’s makeup artist who was played by Elizabeth Mitchell.
